  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tsp white vinegar
  • 5 drops red food coloring gel
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease a 9 inch square baking tin.
  • In a medium saucepan, melt together the butter and the two sugars and remove from heat.
  • Combine the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt in a bowl and set aside.
  • Mix the eggs and vanilla into the butter and sugar mixture. Then add in the dry ingredients until just incorporated.
  • Add the white vinegar and food coloring gel and mix to combine. Adjust the food coloring amount if you want a more red brownie or if you are using regular food coloring instead of a gel concentrate.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared tin and sprinkle the white chocolate chips across the top.
  • Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until a skewer inserted into the center comes out clean.
